Junior forward Frank Kaminsky poured in 43 points last night, breaking Wisconsin’s

single game scoring record as the 12th ranked Badgers beat North Dakota 103-85 at the Kohl Center.

Kaminsky hit 16 of 19 field goals, all 6 of his three pointers and 5 of 6 free throws to lead the Badgers.  He broke the record set by Ken Barnes in 1965 against Indiana and later matched by Michael Finley in 1994 against Eastern Michigan.

Kaminsky’s previous high was 19, last season at Illinois.

Wisconsin (4-0) shot 59% from the field, but defensively, they allowed North Dakota to shoot 50% overall and 62% from three-point range.  Troy Huff, the son of former UW women’s standout Theresa Huff, scored 37 for North Dakota.

The last time the Badgers passed the century mark in total points was the 1995 season with Dick Bennett on the bench.

Sam Dekker added 19 points for the Badgers, who host Bowling Green on Thursday.
