Lacy struggles with asthma

November 25, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Minnesota Vikings couldn’t stop Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy on

Sunday.  It turns out the only thing that can slow him down in cold weather is asthma.

Lacy finished with 110 yards on 25 carries and had another 48 yards receiving, but had to leave the game late in overtime when his condition worsened with the cold Green Bay weather.

Unfortunately for Lacy, it’s only going to get colder as the season continues.

Lacy has rushed for 806 yards on 197 carries this season, averaging 4.09 yards per carry.

He was a battering ram on Sunday.  In fact, he saved the day for the Packers in the fourth quarter when he was stopped in the backfield on a 4th down rushing attempt, but he kept his feet and moved the pile by himself to pick up the first down.  The Packers were trailing by 10-points at the time.  Had he not kept the drive alive there, the Packers may have lost the game instead of pulling out a 26-26 tie.
