Phoenix wins TD Bank Classic opener

The Green Bay women’s basketball team held off Siena and won the opener of the TD Bank Classic with a 63-52 win over the Saints on Friday night on the campus of the University of Vermont.

Sophomore forward Kaili Lukan scored a career-high 16 points and shot 4 of 5 from 3-point range for the Phoenix while senior forward Breannah Ranger added 8 points and a team high 8 rebounds.

The win improved Green Bay to 3-1 overall and advanced the Phoenix to the championship game.
