Belt buckle takes the bullet

December 30, 2013 By WRN Contributor

This sounds like something right out of a movie, but it’s from Fond du Lac … and it really happened.

A 30-year-old man was shot after a Saturday morning altercation. Four shots were fired. One struck the victim, but he was not injured at all. That’s because the bullet hit the victim’s belt buckle and did not penetrate his body.

Fond du Lac police did not release details about the type of gun, the belt buckle, or the events that led up to the shooting since the incident remains under investigation. Two men were taken into custody after the shooting.
