Fischer leaving Indiana

December 31, 2013 By Bill Scott

Former Germantown standout Luke Fischer has left the Indiana men’s basketball team and says he’ll transfer.

Indiana head coach Tom Crean said, “He explained to us he is looking for a different fit for him.  We hate to see a fine young man like Luke leave, but he has made his decision and we wish the entire Fischer family well.”

The 6’11 big man was named Wisconsin’s Mr. Basketball last season and captured the Gatorade Player of the Year award after helping Germantown win the WIAA Division 1 state championship.

Fischer played in all 13 games, averaging 10 minutes, 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds a game.
