Germantown sets state record for wins

December 18, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Germantown boys basketball team earned their state-record-setting 63rd consecutive victory on Tuesday night, 90-63 over Milwaukee Lutheran.

The streak started Nov. 29, 2011, with a 73-58 win over Brookfield Central.  Along the way, the Warhawks captured back-to-back Division 1 state championships each of the past two seasons.

Germantown held a 36-31 edge at halftime but used a 32-10 third quarter run to pull away.
