Packers expected to add running back

December 3, 2013 By Bill Scott

Former Chicago Bears running back Kahlil Bell tweeted Monday that he’s signing with the Green Bay Packers.

Bell is expected to fill the roster vacancy created when the Packers but running back Johnathan Franklin on injured reserve.

Bell hasn’t played at all this season.  he rushed for 633 yards on 148 carries, a 4.3-average.

It’s the second time Bell has worked out for the Packers after doing so last year in early November.

The Packers have yet to make an official announcement on the move.

Mike McCarthy cancelled his Monday press conference yesterday and instead is expected to meet with the media later today (Tuesday).
