Plane slides off runway at Madison airport

December 17, 2013 By WRN Contributor

Officials at the Dane County Regional Airport say there were no injuries Monday, when a Delta flight slid off a taxiway after landing.

Delta Flight 385 from Minneapolis landed at the Madison airport at around 4:00 p.m. Monday as heavy snow was falling on the area. The 737 was taxiing when it slid off the paved surface.

About 60 passengers were on board at the time. They were removed and taken to the terminal.

The incident forced the airport to be closed for about an hour while crews worked to clear snow off a second runway.
