Volleyball Badgers advance to “Sweet 16”

The Wisconsin women’s volleyball team has advanced to play in the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time since 2006.  The 12th-seeded Badgers beat California 25-19, 25-18, 25-21, pulling off a sweep in Madison.

Wisconsin (25-9) will play Florida State in the Champaign, Ill., Regional on Dec. 13th at either 4pm or 6pm in the State Farm Center.

Wisconsin improves to 31-16 in 17 years of NCAA tournament play and will compete in the Sweet 16 for the 11th time in program history.
