Williams says he’ll appeal NFL fine

December 6, 2013 By Bill Scott

Green Bay Packers defensive back Tramon Williams was fined $26,250 for his contact with an official in Green Bay’s 40-10 loss to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

Williams said he thought the official that he shoved was a Lions player.  He drew a 15-yard penalty but after the game said it was a “total misunderstanding.

Williams said he would appeal.

Cheap tickets

If you want to put up with cold weather and potentially some bad football, a Packers game has become a bargain.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says “SeatGeek”, an online ticket search engine is reporting tickets for the Packers/Falcons noon game at Lambeau Field on Sunday are going for as little as $37 a ticket.  The average price fans have paid for a ticket so far this week is $64.

The story said, “Since Aaron Rodgers was injured against the Bears on Nov. 4, the average resale price for Packers tickets has dropped 38%.”

Game time

A reminder to fans.  Sunday’s game was originally scheduled to start around 7:30, but the NFL used their Flex option on the game and moved the Packers out of the night-time slot, all the way to noon for a better game.
