Milwaukee Bucks rookie 1st round pick Giannis Antetokounmpo, has been
picked to play in the Rising Stars Challenge game during the NBA’s all-star weekend.
The 19-year-old from Greece is among the 18 players selected by the league’s assistant coaches. The nine rookies and nine sophomores will be mixed together to form teams.
Antetokounmpo is averaging 7.0 points and 4.7 rebounds in 39 games, including 20 starts.
The last Bucks player to take part in the game was Brandon Jennings. He was selected in both 2010 and 2011.
The game will be played Feb. 14, the Friday night of all-star weekend.
