The 4th ranked Wisconsin Badger mens basketball team came from 11 down at halftime on Sunday night to beat the Iowa Hawkeyes 75-71 at the
Kohl Center. The win pushes the Badgers to a perfect 15-0 on the season, matching the schools all-time best start.
Senior guard Ben Brust, held scoreless in the first half, scored 19 second half points and junior guard Josh Gasser made some key free throws down the stretch, finishing with 14-points in the win.
Senior guard Devyn Marble scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Hawkeyes (12-3, 1-1 Big Ten). Sophomore forward Jarrod Uthoff, playing his first game in Madison since transferring from UW in a controversial move some 21 months ago, finished with 6 points in 16 minutes.
The momentum changer came when Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, upset by a foul called on Hawkeyes junior center Gabriel Oaseni, picked up two technical fouls and drew an ejection from the officials. Ben Brust went on to make all four technical free throws, part of a 17-4 Wisconsin run that put the Badgers up 46-41. They never trailed again.
