Driver dies in Clark County crash

January 8, 2014 By WRN Contributor

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department has identified the victim of a one-vehicle rollover crash near Granton on Tuesday as 52-year-old Floyd R. Colvin of Neillsville. A 911 call was received around 7:00 p.m. about a crash on Highway 73 about a quarter of a mile west of County Highway K in the Town of Washburn.

An initial investigation revealed that a pickup truck driven by Colvin was traveling west, lost control, and entered north ditch. The truck rolled and landed on its roof. Colvin was partially ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene and speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash. Colvin was not wearing a seat belt. His is the first traffic fatality for Clark County in 2014.
