Fischer transfering to Marquette

January 6, 2014 By Bill Scott

Former Germantown All-American big man Luke Fischer, who left Indiana last week, plans to transfer to Marquette to resume his college basketball career.

Fischer averaged 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds in 13 games this season.  Fischer would be eligible to join the Marquette program this December.  He could begin practicing with the Golden Eagles as soon as he enrolls in school.

Fischer reportedly didn’t have issues with Hoosiers coach Tom Crean.  His decision to leave Indiana centered around his desire to return and player closer to home.

Fisher averaged 21.3 points and 9.5 rebounds as a senior and was named the state’s Mr. Basketball.
