Man charged with felony for killing sister’s kitty

January 14, 2014 By WRN Contributor

There’s another court case involving the mistreatment and death of a pet.

This time the case is in Wood County, where 25-year-old Brian Sentkowski is charged with felony mistreatment of an animal and trespassing.

The complaint says Sentkowski entered the Saratoga home of his sister November 27th, where used a knife and “took out his anger on the first thing he located.” That was his sister’s kitten. Officers located the body in a ditch across the street.

The sister immediately suspected her brother when she discovered the kitten missing and a huge blood stain on the living room floor.

Sentkowski is in jail on a probation hold, and was also given a $5,000 signature bond in court Monday.

If convicted, he could spend eight and a half years in prison.
