Packers closing in on sellout

January 3, 2014 By Bill Scott

A Green Bay Packers spokesperson says the organization has less than 1,000 tickets remaining for Sunday’s NFC WildCard game against the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field.

The Packers received an extension yesterday afternoon and had until 4pm today to sell the remaining 3,000 tickets.  More than 2,000 tickets have sold since which means a sellout could be announced soon.

That would avoid a television blackout of the game in the Green Bay, Milwaukee and Wausau television markets.

Temperatures for Sunday’s game are expected to start around 4 to 5-below at kickoff (3:40pm) and fall even further throughout the game.  Wind chills are expected to be in the 30-below range during the game.
