Pedestrian hit and killed in Polk County

January 27, 2014 By WRN Contributor

The Polk County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle over the weekend.

Sheriff Pete Johnson says a 34-year-old Milltown man was hit by a passing car just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, while walking along State Highway 35 just outside of Luck Township. Johnson says the man was walking home at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Johnson says the driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Jeanne Fisher of Frederic, was arrested following the fatal crash on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
