Police investigate death of UW Stout student

January 23, 2014 By WRN Contributor

Police in Menomonie are investigating the death of a University of Wisconsin-Stout student. Jesse Jensen, of Owen, was found inside her house on 6th Street around 5:30 Wednesday morning. Officers say her roommate, police and EMS all tried reviving her but were unsuccessful.

UW-Stout says the 23-year-old was a senior majoring in Industrial Design with a minor in Business Administration. Chancellor Charles Sorensen issued a statement saying “Our hearts and prayers go out to Jesse’s family and friends, and we offer our condolences to them on the loss of this very promising young woman.”

Menomonie Police and the Dunn County Medical Examiner are investigating Jensen’s death. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
