Pot remains popular in the Capital City

Retail sales of marijuana are now legal in Colorado, but they’re still against the law in Wisconsin.

Even so, there has been an “explosion” of marijuana distribution in the Madison area in recent years. That’s according to Sergeant Jason Freedman with the Dane County Narcotics Task Force. “There have been recent seizures of hundreds of pounds of marijuana and hundreds of thousands of dollars by DCI we’ve had some seizures.”

Freedman says most of the pot comes from the west coast.
