A 75-year-old sex offender is accused of using the computers at the Stevens Point Senior Center to access pictures of teenagers in bathing suits. The center said Gordon Miller was violating the terms of their internet-usage policy. Miller claimed he was doing research.
Because he’s a monitored sex offender, police were able to search his home. They found other images on his home computer, including discs of pre-teen children in bathing suits and a nude teenager. Stevens Point police said he’d also accessed sports schedules of area elementary school teams.
Miller has been ordered to appear in Portage County court on February 23. Prosecutors are reviewing possible charges. He may be charged with up to 10 counts of possessing images of a minor without consent and one count of possession of child porn.
