Badger women’s hockey advances to Final Five

The University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team advanced to the WCHA Final Five Face-Off with a 2-0 win over Minnesota State on Sunday in Madison.

Junior Blayre Turnbull and sophomore Courtney Burke each scored to lift the No. 2-ranked Badgers at LaBahn Arena.

It’s the 12th shutout of the season for the Badgers.  Alex Rigsby made 21 saves in-goal to record her 99th career win and 30th career shutout.

Wisconsin outshot Minnesota State 36-21 for the game.
