Bucks sign former Memphis standout to 10-day contract

March 26, 2014 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed free-agent guard/forward D.J. Stephens to a 10-day contract today.

Stephens joins the Bucks from Ilysiakos in the Green League, where he signed after going undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft.  The former Memphis Tiger has appeared in 18 games for Ilysiakos and averaged 9.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game.

Stephens was the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year in 2012-13 and shot 62.7% from the field in 129 career games at Memphis.  That’s the second-best career mark in Tigers history.
