Cords says he’ll stick around at Marquette

March 28, 2014 By Bill Scott

Marquette’s Interim Athletic Director Bill Cords says he’ll stick around for another year in an interim capacity.

Cords is leading the search for Marquette’s next head coach after Buzz Williams left to take the head coaching job at Virginia Tech.  He met with the media on Thursday afternoon, briefing them on the schools search for a new coach.

Cords said all of the incoming freshmen have been told they must wait until meeting with the new coach before the school would release them from their scholarships.
