Gallardo to make fifth straight opening day start

March 13, 2014 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke announced today that right-hander Yovani Gallardo will be the teams opening day starter, March 31st against the Atlanta Braves at Miller Park.

It’ll be the fifth straight opening day nod for Gallardo, which is a club record.

Roenicke also announced that Kyle Lohse will start game two of the series against the Braves but didn’t go any deeper in naming his opening day rotation.
