Garza struggles again in Brewers Cactus League defeat

March 8, 2014 By Bill Scott

Newly acquired pitcher Matt Garza struggled for a second straight outing as the Milwaukee Brewers fell to the San Diego Padres 6-2 in Cactus League action on Friday at Maryvale Baseball Park.

Garza went three innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits with three strikeouts.

The Brewers were hitless for five innings and finished with just three hits overall.  Their two runs came on a Scooter Gennett 2-run homer.

The Brewers send Marco Estrada to the mound today against the Kansas City Royals.
