Three arrested in Barron County homicide

March 13, 2014 By Bob Hague

Three people have been arrested in the homicide of a man in Barron County. Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said 29-year-old Trista Hrbek of Rice Lake, 34-year-old Ian Skjerly of Rice Lake and 37-year-old Robert McBain of Cameron were arrested on suspicion of being a party to the crime of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 33-year-old Dan Raven.

“The motive behind this case is still being investigated. Trista is the ex-wife of the deceased,” Fitzgerald said. Raven was shot and killed Monday at his residence in Barron. Fitzgerald said additional information about the case will be released during formal charges on Monday. He said a rifle-type weapon has been recovered.
