UWGB falls in the first round of the NIT

March 19, 2014 By Bill Scott

Missing Horizon League Player of the Year Keifer Sykes with a left ankle injury, it was one-and -done for the Green Bay Phoenix in the NIT at the Resch Center on Tuesday night.

For the Bruins, Craig Bradshaw scored a career-high 25 points and Drew Winkler added 15 as Belmont won going away 80-65.

Without Sykes handling the ball, the Phoenix coughed up a season-high 21 turnovers.

Greg Mays scored 15 points to lead Green Bay.

Belmont will host Robert Morris University in the second round of the NIT.
