Father accused of allowing 11-year-old to drive

May 27, 2014 By WRN Contributor

Wausau Police are recommending that the father of an 11-year-old girl be charged with recklessly endangering safety for allowing his daughter to drive a jeep.

Police say the 35-year-old man asked his daughter to drive last Friday because he had been drinking. While she was behind the wheel, the jeep struck a tree. The father was cited for permitting a minor to drive.

Their names have not been released.
