Human remains found near Shawano

May 12, 2014 By WRN Contributor

Shawano County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a potential homicide case.

Sheriff Randy Wright says someone found human remains Saturday evening, along a highway, west of Shawano. He says they are handling it like a homicide, and they’re taking the remains, and other items from the scene to the state crime lab.

Wright says after working at the scene until around 2 a.m. Sundayy, investigators took an overnight break. He says they came back, in the daylight, to look for more evidence.
