Governor Walker says he’s pleased that the Obama administration is taking a scandal at the federal department of veterans affairs seriously.

Administrators are accused of covering up delays at VA clinics that led to several deaths.

Walker says he hasn’t heard of any major problems in Wisconsin, but he says the situation needs to be watched closely.

Walker says he would hope that the addition of a new VA clinic in Green Bay would lessen the chances of serious delays here. But he says if officials aren’t doing their jobs properly, they can happen anywhere.
