June 3, 2014 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez went 2 for 4 while serving as the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers designated hitter on Monday,

helping the Class “A” Affiliate of the Brewers, grab game two of a twin bill with the Quad Cities 4-3.

Ramirez is expected to return to Milwaukee today and be reinstated from the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday as the Brewers open an 8-game road trip at Minnesota on Wednesday night.  Ramirez could serve as the Brewers DH during the two game series in Minnesota.

Manager Ron Roenicke also has to figure out where to put Ramirez in his lineup.  The Brewers bats have come to life over the last dozen games, leading the league in hits, doubles and home runs during the stretch.

Ramirez went to the disabled list when he injured his left hamstring.

Last year, Ramirez declined a minor league rehab assignment.  This year, Ramirez accepted and said it was beneficial to play a pair of games with the Timber Rattlers.
