Trial set for man accused of trying to kill brother

June 20, 2014 By WRN Contributor

A trial date has been set for the Tomahawk man accused in the attempted homicide of his brother in a drunken shooting incident.

A two day trial will start October 27 for 68-year-old Charles Lawn on attempted homicide and other related charges. It started as two drunk brothers arguing over a salt shaker.

Lincoln County deputies found the men after a 911 hang-up call March 27th. They told officers they were OK, but the officers noticed the handgun on the table and the blood on the neck and clothing of the victim.

The 53-year-old victim was shot in the shoulder by one of the two rounds fired. Lawn is charged with attempted homicide, recklessly endangering safety, aggravated battery, intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, and operating a firearm while intoxicated.

Lawn remains jailed on a $70,000 bond.
