Father and son injured in lawnmower explosion

July 3, 2014 By WRN Contributor

A father and son have significant burns, after a lawnmower exploded Wednesday night in northern Outagamie County.

The sheriff’s department says the pair were working on the mower, and the gas somehow started on fire. Rescue crews were sent to their house, on Highway 187 in the town of Maine, around 7:30 p.m.

The father was flown by helicopter to a Madison hospital. The son was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah by ambulance. Their conditions are unknown.
