Marquette speeds up its search for new AD

July 22, 2014 By Bill Scott

Marquette says it will have a new Director of Athletics in place by December.  The school appointed a search committee to accelerate the process.

Marquette has been without an Athletic Director since Larry Williams resigned last December.  Williams was replaced on an interim basis by Bill Cords, who is in his second stint at the school.  Cords was Marquette’s AD for 20 years before retiring back in 2006.

Since Cords has returned, he’s oversaw the hiring of three head coaches, including men’s basketball coach Steve Wojciechowski.
