August 20, 2014 By WRN Contributor

TrempealeauA head-on crash in Trempealeau County killed three people. Trempealeau County Sheriff’s officials have identified the victims of the crash on Highway 95 near Arcadia Monday morning. The department confirmed on Tuesday that both of the drivers involved were killed – 57-year-old Patrice Hamerski of Trempealeau and 34-year-old Donald Lewallen of Augusta. A passenger in Lewallen’s van, 14-year-old Austin Lemon, also died.

Another passenger in the van, 23-year old Curtis Lovelien of Fairchild, was airlifted to a hospital in La Crosse with life-threatening injuries, while 34-year old Timothy Kroening of Owen was treated in Whitehall for non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators say the vehicles collided head-on and the van started on fire.
