Gordon shares Big 10 honor

Wisconsin Badger running back Melvin Gordon has been named co-Big Ten offensive player of the week, sharing the honor with Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah.

Gordon rushed for 253 yards and five touchdowns in Wisconsin’s 68-17 win over Bowling Green.  Gordon averaged 19.5 yards per carry.

Abdullah rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns and finished with 313 all-purpose yards in Nebraska’s 41-31 win over Miami.

Top 25 polls

The Badgers stayed put this week in the top 25 polls.  Wisconsin is 17th again in the Top 25 coaches poll and 19th in the A.P. Top 25.
