Weather keeps electric utility crews out all night

September 11, 2014 By WRN Contributor

The wind and the wetness has kept electrical linemen out all night again.

Wisconsin Public Service crews were dispatched to restore electricity to about 6,000 customers. There were scattered outages in the Wausau, Antigo, Tomahawk, and Merrill. Most of the affected customers were in the Crivitz area, where over 1,700 customers were without power. Rhinelander was also hit again, with about 725 customers affected. The areas most affected were north of Tomahawk and Rhinelander to the Michigan line, and also in the Door County peninsula.
