The 5th-ranked Wisconsin women’s volleyball team ran their Big Ten win streak to six matches, sweeping Minnesota in a border battle matchup at the Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis on Wednesday night.
The 25-16, 25-19, 30-28 win marks the first time the Badgers (15-2, 6-1) have won at Minnesota (13-5, 3-4) since 2007.
Senior Ellen Chapman led the Badger offense with 12 kills, tallying double-digit kills for the 10th time this season. Freshman Kelli Bates and senior Courtney Thomas followed suit, recording 10 and nine kills, respectively.
The conference rivals have only a few days to regroup, as the Badgers return to the UW Field House for another Big Ten showdown against the Gophers on Saturday at 7pm.
