Medford police say they have a suspect in connection with a Wednesday bomb threat at the high school.

Police say a student saw a message about a bomb in a locker on the mobile chat app Yik Yak around 12:45 in the afternoon. The student immediately reported it to administrators who contacted the police department. Officials determined that the Yik Yak message had been posted from inside the school and started evacuating the campus.

After working with company representatives and conducting interviews with students, police found a 17-year-old suspect who later admitted to posting the threat. The student is now being referred to county prosecutors for charges of making a bomb threat.

School is expected to resume on Thursday.
