The wife of former Packers great Bart Starr is updating his condition after two strokes and a mild heart attack last month.

Cherry Starr issued a statement through Packers.com confirming an ischemic stroke on September 2nd, followed by a hemorrhagic stroke on September 7. An ischemic stroke is the result of a clot or obstruction within a blood vessel supplying blood to the brain. A hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a weakened blood vessel ruptures.

Cherry Starr does said her 80-year-old husband is becoming medically stable and beginning to make progress through rehabilitation. She goes on to thank the public for their well-wishes.

Starr led the Packers to 5 NFL titles and two Super Bowl Championships.
