Basketball Badgers cruise past Chattanooga

The 3rd ranked Wisconsin Badgers built a 31-point halftime lead and cruised to a 89-45 win over Chattanooga at the Kohl Center on Sunday.

Sam Dekker, Frank Kaminsky, Nigel Hayes and Traevon Jackson all scored in double figures in the first half to lead the Badgers (2-0), who hit 6 of 11 three-pointers (54.5%) and 18 of 31 shots from the field overall (58%).  They also out-rebounded Chattanooga 26-9 in the first half.

Dekker finished with 18 points and hit 7 of 10 from the field.  Hayes finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds.  Jackson finished with 16 points and Kaminsky had 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Badgers finished 8 of 18 from three-point range for the game and added 20 assists with just 9 turnovers.

The Badgers will host the Green Bay Phoenix on Wednesday night.
