Badger women open Big Ten opener

Nicole Bauman scored a career high 21 points, hitting 4 of her seven three-pointers to lead the Wisconsin BadgersMotionW_2Color to a 63-53 win over Michigan in the Big Ten opener at the Kohl Center on Sunday.

Tessa Cichy added 14 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds for the Badgers (5-6, 1-0 Big Ten).

Shannon Smith had 14 for Michigan (8-4, 0-1).

UW-Milwaukee

The UW-Milwaukee women fell to IPFW 78-72 last night in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Panthers fell to 4-7.

UW-Milwaukee Men

The UW-Milwaukee Panther men fell on the road to South Dakota 84-60.  The Coyotes shot 50% from the field.  Milwaukee shot just 29% (9 of 31) from the field in the first half.

Matt Tiby had 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Panthers (5-9).
