With a 9-2 record and a 4-game winning streak, the Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball team has cracked the Associated Press top 25 college basketball poll for the first time since the 2012-13 season.

Green Bay has tallied wins this season against Wisconsin, Purdue, Arizona State, Georgia Tech and Marquette.  They also have wins over Duquesne and South Dakota State, both having made postseason appearances a season ago.

Green Bay received 84 votes in the poll, 48 points more tan 25th-ranked Arizona State.  Green Bay trailed No. 23 Iowa by 15 votes and No. 22 Syracuse by 25 votes.  The Phoenix is the only mid-major program ranked in the top 25.
