Green Bay women top Wisconsin

The Green Bay Phoenix women’s team got 17 points from Megan Lukan and knocked off in-state rival Wisconsin 53-43 at the Kress Center on Saturday night.

The Badgers pulled out last season’s matchup 65-61 in overtime at the Kohl Center, but the Phoenix rebounded Saturday and now has five wins in the last six games in the series with the Badgers.

The Phoenix (8-2) shot just 35% from the field and made only 1 of 19 three-point attempts. Their 53 points is a season low, 20 points below Green Bay’s season average. Wisconsin hit 34% from the field and only 3 of 21 from beyond the arc.
