Marquette cruises past Morgan State

MarquetteGoldenEagles2The Marquette Golden Eagles rolled to a 81-53 win over Morgan State (2-11) on Sunday afternoon at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  It’s the fourth straight win for the Golden Eagles, improving to 8-4.

Marquette held Morgan State to 7 of 34 from the field in the first half (20.6%) as the Golden Eagles built a 19-point lead, then grew that lead to as much as 28 points.

Luke Fischer had 15 points to lead six Marquette players in double figures.  Morgan State’s Cedrick Blossom led all scorers with 21 points.

Marquette kicks off Big East play on Wednesday against DePaul.
