Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy didn’t even see the incident, but he trusts his peeps well enough to know that Ndamukong Suh stepped on his quarterback on purpose and he’s not happy about it.
The incident took place in the fourth quarter of the Packers 30-20 victory over the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.
“He’ll probably say it was an accident, he was getting blocked into him,” Rodgers said. “That’s what (referee) Walt Anderson said. But we’ll see.”
Suh didn’t speak to reporters after the game to offer up any type of excuse for his actions. But there is a history here. It was Suh who stepped on and kicked Evan Dietrich-Smith at Ford Field in 2011 and was hit with a two-game suspension.
You can bet this latest incident will be reviewed by the league.
The Lions play at Dallas in the NFC WildCard playoffs this weekend and there’s a chance Suh may not be around for it.
Here’s the takes of the two head coaches.
You’ve all seen the video by now. What do you think? Fox Sports “expert” Mike Pereira offered up his own opinion in this Fox Sports Video after the game.
