Badger women’s hockey pulls out overtime win

January 18, 2015 By Bill Scott

MotionW_2ColorWisconsin senior Brittany Ammerman scored 46-seconds into overtime to lift the No. 3-ranked Badgers to a 2-1 win over Bemidji State on Saturday at LaBahn Arena.

It’s the 11th goal of the season for Ammerman, who leads the team.  Wisconsin peppered Bemidji (14-11-1, 9-10-1-1 WCHA) freshman goaltender Erin Deters with 63 shots.  The Badgers (18-4-2, 14-4-2-0) attempted 121 shots during the 2-game weekend series.

The Badgers step out of WCHA play next weekend as they host the reigning NCAA champion Clarkson Golden Knights.  Faceoff at LaBahn Arena is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
