The Wisconsin Badger men’s hockey team’s attempt at a second straight victory fell short last night as 2nd-ranked Boston University scored twice in the final two minutes to salvage a 3-3 tie in overtime.

Ahti Oksanen scored a pair of goals in the final two minutes for the Terriers (11-3-4) with BU’s goal empty.  The game tying goal came with 2.2 seconds left in regulation to force the overtime.

Boston University outshot the Badgers 6-0 in overtime.

The Badgers (2-11-2) took the lead with 3:45 left in the second period on a Jedd Soleway goal.  The Badgers went up 3-1 when Terriers goalie Matt O’Connor’s pass went off his own man and into the net with 2:41 to play.

The two teams close out the two-game series at the Kohl Center tonight.
