One killed in crash of semis on I-94

January 7, 2015 By WRN Contributor

One person was killed and two were injured in a crash involving three semis on Interstate 94 near Eau Claire this morning. The Wisconsin State Patrol – Eau Claire post says the crash happened a little before 3:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-94. Investigators said one semi slowed down due to mechanical problems and another semi hit it from behind. A third semi clipped the second truck and jacknifed into the median. The driver of the second semi was killed. The other two drivers were brought to a hospital. No names have been released. The crash remains under investigation by the State Patrol.
