Badger women fall on Senior Day

MotionW_2ColorThe Wisconsin Badger women’s basketball team (8-18, 4-12 Big Ten) lost a heartbreaker in overtime, 86-83 to Northwestern (21-6, 11-5) on Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center.

Junior Nicole Bauman led all players with 22 points for the Badgers.  She also added four assists and went 9 of 19 from the field (47.4 percent).

Wisconsin shot 43.3 percent from the field, 41.4 percent from 3-point range.  Northwestern ended shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 35.3 percent beyond the arc.

The Badgers hit the road twice this week to close out conference play against Iowa (Feb. 26) and Penn State (March 1).
